Dr. Gavankar, currently in private practice in Cary, North Carolina, is board certified in Family Medicine and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He is the head team physician for Raleigh Rugby and SE Raleigh High School and is the assistant team physician for the Carolina Hurricanes and the Carolina Ballet. Dr. Gavankar is a community preceptor for the Family Medicine residency at UNC, Chapel Hill.
